Redneck Riviera Blast & Cast Weekend #3 of the season. vol 2-07

Well with a cold front coming in and the temperature hovering around 74 degrees we figured it was time to do some more Blasting & Casting. The morning started off with a little drizzle that quickly fizzled out to a nice windy day.

Came up with a new idea for a blind and did it work well.

We came across another blind that some of the local female duck hunters were using and wished them well. They did a good job with their blind camo too.

Some of the gals just laid out on the sandy beaches waiting for the duck to come in where there was no cover to get behind.

My son-n-law and I shot a limit each of redheads and I got a banded pintail drake.

He shot a really good redhead drake that he will have mounted.

Then it was on to the cast part of the Blast & Cast. With the price of gas at $1.87 we are doing our part to save some extra gas for the rest of yall so we will continue hunting and fishing inside the Corpus Christi city limits. Darrin caught this rare golden drum from downtown.

It was a mixed bag of whiting, drum, mangrove and a spec. With wind gust to around 40 mph we were glad to catch what we did.

Well that is all we did here on the Redneck Riviera this weekend, which I am, pretty sure is more that yall did once again.
